Agile for Infrastructure:
Agile training with PMI NB
Some of the most important topics that we looked into during
the PMI training:
- Cyenfin framework emphasized the need to think differently about different problems, one size does not fit all and actions depend on which domain the problem falls under. Three of the domains were highlighted: Complex vs. Chaotic vs. Disorder (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cynefin).
2. We looked at Agile Manifesto principles and their application.
3. Agile terminology: features, user stories, themes, epics, sprints and releases.
4. Agile roles: Product/Solution Owner, Scrum Master and team members.
5. Process.
6. The Phantom Traffic Jams:
7. How speed vs traffic affects flow:
In other words in low traffic the only restriction is the
speed limit; in high traffic it is the density affects the speed and the
overall flow. The bottom-line is that only the optimal number of tasks needs to
be in the pipeline at any point so traffic jams will not occur and would not
block the workflow. This paradigm requires dedicated project resources.
